Making your switch to Home State Bank is easy!
We understand the demands you have with your busy schedule and want to make the transition over to Home State Bank as seamless as possible. In order to keep you on a clear path towards "switching," we have included four easy steps to follow.
Four Easy Steps to Switch
- Open an account at Home State Bank
- Stop using your old account
- Fill out appropriate forms to:
Close an account. This letter will notify your previous bank that you are closing your account. Be sure to allow at least 10 days for any outstanding checks to clear. If you are having automatic payments deducted from your existing account, make sure you keep the account open until the payments begin appearing on your new Home State Bank account. This process can take up to 60 days. The following link provides you the ability to download the Account Closing Form.Switch an Automatic Payment. This letter will notify companies to switch the account from which they are withdrawing for your automatic payments. After you have opened a new Home State Bank account, you may start switching your Automatic Payments to your new account. To help facilitate this transition, we've included a convenient list of links to many companies (service providers and utility) offering to switch your automatic payments online. If, however, you use a company not found on this list, we have also provided the ability to access and download the Automatic Payment Switch Kit Form you will need to make the switch. Switch a Direct Deposit. You will need the Direct Deposit Switch Kit Form to switch the account that is currently being credited such as payroll or an interest payment. For social Security deposits, go to www.ssa.gov/deposit/howtosign.htm or call the S.S. Administration at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778).
4. Complete the forms and either mail or bring in to use at any of our banking centers.
